- Help plan and prepare menus and meals that meet residents’ dietary, cultural, and nutritional needs
- Carry out basic food preparation and presentation, including specialized cooking tasks
- Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, including equipment and utensils
- Serve and deliver meals to residents
- Support the Chef with ordering, checking, and rotating food supplies
- Assist with onboarding new staff and promote safe, efficient work practices
- Delegate tasks to Food Service Assistants as needed
- Manage resources effectively, including stock control and equipment use
- Perform other duties as directed by the Chef within the scope of the role
