About the role

The IT Security Analyst will provide technical subject matter expertise (SME) to establish and maintain VMCH Cyber Security framework. The role spans across all aspects of Cyber Security from maintaining process and policies to monitoring and acting on security incidents in conjunction with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and the Security Operations Centre (SOC). You will be part of a team that proactively prepares to detect, respond to and recover from cyber-attacks.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to security risk assessments
• Review security vendor reports and mitigate security threats
• Contribute to disaster recovery and contingency plans in event of security breaches (Ransomware plan)
• Contribute to management of security technologies (Included but not limited to endpoint protection, email, mobile device management MDM)
• Liaise with security SOC third party vendor and act on infrastructure security mitigations detected
• Coordinate the ITSS service desk and security analyst to mitigate findings in vulnerability and penetration tests and for any announced security patch updates
• Monitor and respond to Phishing emails and other threats
• Generate reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Manage regular penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and potential hackathons

Position requirements

• Demonstrated understanding of IT security policies/security awareness
• Expertise in implementing Cyber Security Frameworks and controls (NIST, ISO27001, Essential 8)
• Experience in various security products and tools (Microsoft, MDM Airwatch, Firewalls)
• Writing reviewing and implementing security policies
• Strong and current knowledge of security trends and emerging threats
• Ability to think both analytically and creatively to resolve challenges in a complex environment
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to customer service
