We are seeking Disability Support Workers (DSW) who are passionate about working in the Disability sector to work within our Community & Disability Direct Care services.  

About the role

VMCH Disability Services provides statewide, high-quality services aimed at supporting individuals to remain independent within the community.

We currently have a permanent part-time position for a DSW at our Supported Disability Accommodation (SDA) house in Braybrook. The fortnightly roster is as follows:

Week 1

• Thursday; 7am – 10am and 3pm – 10pm (split shift)
• Friday; 7am – 9.30am and 3pm – 7pm (split shift)
• Saturday 2.30pm – 10pm

Week 2

• Tuesday; 7am – 10am
• Wednesday; 7am – 10am and 3pm – 10pm
• Thursday; 7am – 9.30am

Our Disability Support Workers (DSW) provide quality care and support to people with disabilities to create and live the lifestyle of their choosing while empowering them to have a voice and achieve their goals.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the Disability industry
• Certificate IV in Disability
• Knowledge of and respect for the rights and choices of clients and their families
• A Person Centred approach to providing care and services
• Basic level of computer and administration skills 
• Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate 
• Valid Victorian Driver’s License
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Evidence of 2022 flu vaccination and COVID-19 vaccinations including 3rd booster
