About the role
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and compassionate Hairdresser to deliver a variety of hairdressing services—such as cuts, styling, and treatments—tailored to the unique needs and preferences of elderly residents. - Conduct individual consultations to understand desired styles and offer recommendations based on hair type and any special requirements.
- Use appropriate hair care products and tools to maintain hair health and hygiene, ensuring suitability for sensitive skin and scalp conditions common among elderly clients.
- Follow strict safety and hygiene protocols, including sanitising tools and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.
- Create a positive, relaxing experience by demonstrating patience and empathy during grooming sessions.
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to coordinate schedules and accommodate specific care needs.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, noting preferences and any relevant care details.
- Stay informed on current hairdressing trends and techniques.
