About the role

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide appropriate educational specialist programs tailored to the individual students’ learning needs within a calm learning environment in which all children can achieve their potential.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and collaborative learning environment.
  • Help students connect art or any other specialist programs to other subjects, people and the world
  • Teach horticulture, art or other specialist programs such as PE or Drama as a sensory experience through creative processes.
  • Work effectively with parents, always displaying professional behaviour with an understanding of the issues affecting parents of a child with a disability.
  • Demonstrate effective use of teaching and learning tools and other resources which improve learning outcomes.


  • Registration with Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • Graduate teachers encourage to apply


  • Some experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
