Are you ready to apply for the role that might change your life? You’ve come to the right place!

We also have some handy resources where you can learn about the application process and ways to make your application stand out.

While the process can vary slightly depending on the job you’re applying for, it’s all pretty straightforward.

Apply online

Your search begins online, right here. You can check out all our available roles here.

Found a role you’re perfect for? Make sure you apply. We can’t learn how amazing you are if you don’t submit your application.

Once you hit apply, you’ll be set up with an Applicant Profile. If you’ve applied for another role, then you can log in to your existing account.

We believe it’s our people that make us so great. We take the time to review every application to make sure we’re the right fit.

Phone screen

Given how much has changed over the last couple of years, you would expect the interview process would have changed too, right?

Currently, we might start off the recruitment process by doing a quick phone screen. Your resume is great but we want to learn a little bit more about you.

Phone screens can be stressful, but don’t forget to relax and take a deep breath! We’ll simply ask you to expand on your resume. Take this as your opportunity to demonstrate your skills, what you’re passionate about, and why you want to work at VMCH.

Interview

So, your phone screen was successful, and now you’ve made it through to an interview. Congratulations!

An interview isn’t just about discussing your skills it’s also an opportunity to see if you’d be a good team fit. This is your opportunity to shine. Tell us everything about yourself and why you’re the right person for the role.

Make sure to do your research! Read up on our Vision, Mission and Values. Check out some of our staff testimonials and head to our Facebook page to see what our clients, residents and staff have been up to recently.

Not only will this help you feel prepared, but it will also allow you to evaluate if we’re the right organisation for you.

We may conduct your interview online or face-to-face.

Pre-work checks

We love you. You love us. But before we can officially welcome you to the team, we need to conduct a few pre-work checks. This varies, depending on the role, but typically we conduct reference checks, a police check, Working with Children Check or a NDIS Worker Screening Check. You may also require proof of working rights, a annual Flu Vaccination and Covid-19 Vaccination (unless you hold a medical exemption).

Job offer

Congratulations on your new role, we’re so excited to have you join our team!

You’ll receive an offer of employment from us, which will outline your start date, salary, and conditions of employment. Once signed, you’re all ready to go!

Didn’t get an offer? Our recruitment team will keep your details in our database, if a suitable role comes up, we’ll keep in touch and let you know. Remember to ask our recruitment team for feedback on your application and interview, that’s a great way to help improve for next time.
