About the role

The Allied Health Team Leader – Community Health Services is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of health services within VMCH's Home Care Division. This role leads the management of clinical staffing to ensure high-quality service provision for all At Home Aged Care programs. Furthermore, the Allied Health Team Leader will drive the growth and development of health service programs, foster a community of practice across various clinical fields, and ensure best-in-class service standards in collaboration with governance teams to meet quality assurance requirements. In addition to your responsibilities, you will be managing a small caseload of your own.

About you

  • A relevant qualification in allied health and/or nursing, with unrestricted AHPRA registration (minimum 5 years of experience).
  • Proven experience delivering community-based and facility-based care within a clinical field.
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing staff remotely and in a matrix structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop models of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills.
  • High-level strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of public health funding and PHI funding mechanics.
  • Knowledge of home care programs and/or NDIS.
  • Strong IT proficiency (CRM, CMS, and MS Office)
  • A current valid driver’s license
