About the role

We are looking for experienced enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated Beauty Therapist to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life for senior residents through professional and compassionate beauty services. The Beauty Therapist will provide a range beauty services such as manicures, pedicures, massage and facials with a focus on meeting the unique needs.

Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be:

• Provide professional manicure and pedicure services, including nail trimming, shaping, cuticle care, and polishing, tailored to the needs and preferences of the residents.
• Identify and address any foot or nail health issues, reporting concerns to the healthcare team.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are sanitised and maintained in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Administer therapeutic massages to help relieve pain, improve circulation, and enhance relaxation.
• Adapt techniques to accommodate residents’ physical limitations and medical conditions.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for massage sessions.
• Provide gentle and effective facial treatments, including cleansing, exfoliation, and moisturising.
• Tailor facial treatments to meet the specific skin needs and sensitivities of each resident.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, providing empathetic and respectful care.
• Work closely with other staff members, including nursing and support staff, to accommodate residents’ schedules and any specific care requirements.
• Document all services provided and any relevant observations in resident care records.

Requirements

• Certification in manicure/pedicure, massage therapy, and/or aesthetics from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience in providing beauty and wellness services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to provide compassionate care and build rapport with residents.
• Empathetic and patient demeanour.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to accommodate varying resident needs and preferences.
• Knowledge of relevant safety and infection control procedures.
