About the role

Our new social enterprise Café opening in Nunawading in October requires a Café Coordinator, to manage the day-to-day operations.  The Café will support people living with a disability to gain new skills and increase their employability.   You will be responsible for preparation and delivery of great food and coffee, coordinating and leading staff and clients, oversee the purchasing and ordering of food.   You will promote the Café to local service providers to attract clients to the Café. 

About you

To be successful in this role you will be experienced in the hospitality sector and the operation of a Café, ideally you will have experience in working with people with a disability.  

You will have excellent customer service skills, preparing and presenting appealing food and good coffee, you will lead the team training staff and clients. 

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in either hospitality or Disability desired but not essential
  • Experienced in food preparation, managing a kitchen and safe food handling.
  • Outstanding barista skills and ability to train others.
  • Experience working with clients with diverse disabilities.
  • Demonstrated Ability & experience to lead and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent ability to respond and resolve issues/concerns for clients, families or their representatives.
  • Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to priorities competing demands.
  • A valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • A valid Working with Children’s Check
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
