Carer Engagement Officer

    • Provide Support to Carers - facilitate social events and outings
    • Rewarding Part-time 4 days per week fixed term to June 2025
    • Salary plus NFP packaging plus car allowance hybrid work arrangement 
    • Located in Eastern suburbs

    About the role

    The role of Carer Engagement Officer is to facilitate social and educational events and outings for carers with the focus on Carer wellbeing.  The schedule of events will include day trips, guest speaker, leisure & lifestyle activities suitable for Carers of varying ages.

    This role reports to the Manager, Carer Support a part time 4 days per week, WFH options and is based in Camberwell.   

    About you

    Ideally you will be experienced in developing and delivering innovative, engaging programs and events suited to Carer Support programs and have a working knowledge of Carer Services, you may hold a tertiary qualification – Cert IV Leisure & Lifestyle or Disability or Community however lived experience will be high regarded.  

    Skills and experience required

    • Previous experience in Carer Support and knowledge of Disability Services
    • Outstanding customer focus and ability to meet individual carers needs.
    • Experience in facilitating a diverse range of events and activities.
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, Ability to build strong effective working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (internally and externally)
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to manage competing tasks and priorities.
    • A current full Victorian Driver’s License
    • Level 2 First aid and Current CPR
    • Ability to work outside of a standard business hour while assisting and delivering programs for carers
