Housekeeping Assistant
 
About the role
 
  • Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, staff offices, and lifestyle spaces
  • Perform vacuuming, mopping, dusting, surface wiping, and rubbish removal
  • Use cleaning equipment including trolleys, mops, cloths, and approved chemical solutions
  • Maintain infection control and OH&S standards
  • Follow cleaning schedules and complete administrative tasks (e.g., sign-in/out, stock checks)
 
What you’ll do:
 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Physical capability for standing, walking, lifting (1–2kg), and repetitive upper limb tasks
  • Respect for residents’ privacy and dignity
 
About you:
 
  • Reliable and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
  • Compassionate and respectful, especially when working in residents’ personal spaces
  • Physically capable of performing manual tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, and lifting light items
  • Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow cleaning schedules
  • Aware of infection control and OH&S standards, and committed to maintaining a safe environment
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support a caring team culture
