About the role
Reporting to the Retirement Living Manager, the Food and Beverage Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Food and Beverage services at St. Joseph’s Mews.
We are looking for someone who loves creating great experiences for residents and guests.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver delicious meals, snacks, and beverages with a smile
- Set up and pack down vibrant café and bar spaces
- Coordinate staffing to keep everything running smoothly
- Work closely with the Retirement Living Manager
- Connect with prospective residents and help plan exciting in-house meetings and events
About you
You are a dedicated and experienced hospitality Team Leader with a strong background in bar, bistro, and café operations. Your focus is on delivering exceptional customer service, meeting guest needs, supporting menu planning, and coordinating functions and consistently maintain a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for residents and their guests.
About you:
- Delivering exceptional customer service to residents and guests
- Organising and running successful in-house events and functions
- Ensuring all dining and common areas are clean, welcoming, and safe
- Collaborating with the Chef on menu planning and food service
- Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining records
- Preparing proposals and event run sheets
- Supporting and training staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team
- Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality customer service
- Hold a RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate)
Desirable:
- Experience working in a retirement living environment.
