About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated staff experienced in food services to bring joy to our resident’s day. As a Food Services Assistant and Café Specialist, you will focus on delivering high-quality catering that meets nutritional needs, hydration requirements, and individual preferences, including any special dietary considerations.
Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be:
- Perform basic food preparation tasks and cooking basic meals.
- Prepare, present and serve / deliver food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for modified diets
- Plate and present food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements
Requirements
- Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety Certificate
- Previous experience working in a food services environment and/or at an aged care facility
- Patience; common sense and a strong ethos of client service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision
- Availability to work both day and afternoon shift
