Head of Business and Support Services

Residential Aged Care | Strategic Leadership Role Full Time | Melbourne

We are now seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Business and Support Services to provide strategic and operational leadership across Hospitality, Lifestyle, Admissions and AN‑ACC/Funding within our Residential Services division.

The Position

Reporting to the General Manager – Residential Services, this senior leadership role ensures business support services are integrated with care delivery to achieve exceptional resident outcomes, operational excellence, financial sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Key focus areas include:

• Strategic Leadership — Translating organisational strategy into measurable outcomes across all support service portfolios.
• Operational Excellence — Ensuring consistent standards, efficient processes and high‑performing teams.
• Governance & Compliance — Upholding strengthened Quality Standards, regulatory requirements and organisational frameworks.
• Resident Experience — Championing dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing through responsive hospitality and lifestyle services.
• AN‑ACC & Funding — Optimising funding accuracy, compliance and performance.
• Financial Stewardship — Managing budgets, procurement and resource allocation to support sustainable operations.
• Continuous Improvement — Driving innovation, service uplift and data‑informed performance improvement.

The Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Hospitality, Lifestyle, Admissions and AN‑ACC/Funding.
• Translate organisational strategy into measurable outcomes and high‑performing service delivery.
• Oversee occupancy, admissions performance, hospitality standards, lifestyle engagement and funding optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Act 2024, strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational governance frameworks.
• Drive innovation in resident experience, wellbeing, social connection and engagement programs.
• Lead financial performance, budgeting, procurement and resource allocation across the portfolio.
• Monitor quality, risk, compliance and consumer outcomes, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Build strong relationships with Residential Services Managers, Clinical Governance, Finance and other corporate teams.

About You

You are an experienced senior leader with deep knowledge of the Australian aged care sector and a passion for delivering high‑quality, person‑centred services.

What’s Required:

• Minimum 10 years’ management experience in aged care or a comparable complex service environment.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or a related field.
• Strong understanding of aged care funding models, reforms, governance, risk and compliance.
• Demonstrated experience leading diverse business support functions and high‑performing teams.
• Exceptional communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical capability.
• Commitment to cultural diversity, equal opportunity and safe work practices.
• Current right to work in Australia, NDIS Worker Check and Victorian driver’s licence.
