About the role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for a maternity replacement to support educational goals facilitating students’ participation through improving student’s functional capacity and providing developmental opportunities to students with a disability.

About you

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Development and provision of Occupational Therapy services
  • Group, small group or individual service delivery through a consultative model which promotes social interaction and maximum inclusion and transfer of skills and knowledge
  • Implementation of relevant informal and standardized assessments of skills as required for students with a wide range of disabilities and impairments
  • Development and implementation of programs, strategies and materials to enable students to access goals set as part of Individual Learning Plans together with daily living skills
  • Provision of consultation, education services, resources, strategies, advice and support for families and members of the college trans-disciplinary team in the areas of student access to programs and daily living skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent

Desirable: 

  • Some experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
