About the role       

VMCH requires a Registered Nurse (RN Div 1) to deliver high quality personalised clinical care to our residents at our 10-bed supported accommodation house in Alphington. The Registered Nurse demonstrates professional and collaborative practice and provides direction to our Disability Support Workers. 

About you

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical expertise and a solid understanding of disability care. All residents have an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

This is a part-time role offering weekday morning and afternoon shifts.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration 
  • Excellent clinical skills, including experience with enteric (PEG) support, and stoma management; emergency airway management; spc management
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Experience working with young adults with complex disabilities
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, families, therapists, carers and support workers 
  • Ability to work autonomously 
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Valid Working with Children’s Check
  • Evidence of Flu Vaccination and COVID Vaccinations
