About the role

As a Residential Services Manager at Bundoora Aged Care Residence, you will utilise your experience in a similar role to provide leadership and efficient operational management, so that our residents always receive the best care possible.  Working closely with the General Manager, you will also be responsible for the performance of the facility with regards to budget management, employee engagement, quality assurance and clinical care. 

VMCH Bundoora is a dementia-specific aged care facility, offering 13 memory support rooms designed to provide specialised care and support for people living with dementia.

About you

You have previously held a leadership position within the aged care services sector, where you displayed your ability to work unsupervised and promoted a positive workplace environment. An effective communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, you build strong relationships with your many stakeholders and value the importance of patience, common sense and acting with compassion. The ability to relate to older people comes naturally and you understand the issues related to the services they require. You have well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills with experience meeting deadlines and attending to multiple tasks.

Requirements 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Act, ACFI, Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and relevant legislation
  • Working knowledge of Health Care/Aged Care information management systems, Microsoft Office applications, email and the internet
