About the role
Join VMCH’s Accounts Receivable team and play a key role in supporting the organisation’s financial sustainability across a diverse range of community services. In this role, you will contribute to the end-to-end revenue cycle, managing billing, receipting, debt management and the processing of exit entitlements across residential aged care, retirement living, affordable housing, disability services, home care and education.
Working within a complex and fast-paced environment, you will ensure financial processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements. This is an opportunity to be part of a collaborative Finance Operations team that values strong customer service, attention to detail, continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of compliance and audit readiness.

About you
You are a customer-focused finance professional with experience in accounts receivable, billing or financial administration. You bring strong attention to detail, the ability to manage complex billing and collections processes, and a compassionate approach when supporting customers and their families through important life transitions. With excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, you are confident working in a fast-paced, regulated environment while building positive relationships across operational teams and ensuring compliance, accuracy and high-quality customer service.
You’ll bring:
- Relevant qualification in accounting, finance or business administration (Certificate IV or equivalent);
- Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, including billing, receipting, collections, reconciliations and debt management;
- Ability to manage a portfolio of customer accounts end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and positive outcomes;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify process improvements;
- Experience interpreting and applying contractual terms, fee structures and legislative requirements with strong attention to detail;
- Proficiency in any ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, to support reporting, reconciliation and data integrity;
- A professional, empathetic and customer-focused approach when engaging with customers, families and stakeholders; and
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
