About the Role
As a Finance Systems Analyst, you will support, maintain, and enhance VMCH’s financial systems including but not limited to Epicor SLS, ARM, ECM, IDC, EFP&A and Carelink. You will act as the bridge between Finance, IT, Operations, and external vendors to ensure systems are reliable, scalable, compliant, and aligned to organisational needs.
You will contribute to strategic initiatives, improve financial workflows through automation, and help deliver accurate, insightful reporting that supports decision-making across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Systems Management & Support
- Maintain and administer financial and business systems including ERP platforms
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with vendors and IT teams for resolution
- Support upgrades, patches, and system enhancements
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify improvements
- Ensure data integrity, security, and reliability across systems
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes
- Implement automation solutions and process enhancements
- Support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend technologies that improve operational efficiency
Data Governance & Reporting
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools
- Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
- Deliver meaningful insights and KPI reporting to stakeholders
- Translate complex financial data into actionable business insights
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with finance, operations, clinical teams, and IT stakeholders
- Gather and document business requirements
- Provide training, system support, and expert advice to end-users
- Develop user guides, SOPs, and training materials
Compliance & Sector Responsibilities
- Support compliance with aged care funding models including AN-ACC
- Assist with audit preparation, accreditation, and regulatory reporting
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess system impacts
About You
You are analytical, collaborative, and passionate about improving systems and processes. You enjoy working across teams and have the ability to translate technical information into practical business solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline
- Experience in a Finance Systems Analyst or similar role
- Strong experience with financial systems and reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Understanding of system integration, automation, and data migration processes
Desirable
- Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems
- CPA or CA qualification
- Experience within aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors
- Familiarity with aged care funding models and compliance frameworks
