St Paul's College provides education for Prep to Year 12 students with a wide range of special needs including intellectual, physical, multiple and profound sensory disabilities and autism.

About the role: 

We are seeking 1 full time or 2 part-time Speech Pathologists to assist students in achieving positive educational and learning outcomes by providing professional expertise and support in communicating more effectively through speech and other forms of communication.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver therapy and support students in a group-based model alongside teachers
  • Implement the school wide communication goals
  • Support students’ communication needs including assessment, design, and production
  • Liaise with support services and professional in relation to student communication needs
  • Contribute to Student Support Groups meeting
  • Provide professional development for school staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Working with Children check

Desirable: 

  • Knowledge and skills in working with students with disabilities
  • Experience in addressing complex communication needs through implementing communication strategies and Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) technologies.
