About the role

Experienced Team Leader required to join our Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) facility in Kialla.  As the Team Leader you will manage work the day-to-day operations of Kialla SDA.   You will provide quality person-centred services to residents and liaises with families, lead the team and manager rosters. This role requires weekday, weekend, and sleepover availability. 

This role will require you to travel to Melbourne for staff meetings and training approximately once a month, all costs are reimbursed.

 

About you:

To be successful you will an experienced Team Leader in an SDA service ideally in the disability sector.  You will provide outstanding care and support to residents and their families and with exceptional leadership and people skills you will build effective relationships with staff ensuring excellent day to day operations.    This role is a split of direct care and administration, you will be required to cover shifts involving weekdays/weekends and sleepover shifts, (full shift details will be provided).

Skills Required

  • Relevant qualifications a Certificate IV Disability minimum
  • Excellent Communication skills, ability to build relationships with staff, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Outstanding time management to provide person centred care.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage critical incidents escalating when required ensuring best practice client care.
  • Skilled in providing direct personal care to individuals with disability and complex care requirements.
  • Demonstrated understanding it the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Current NDIS Screening Check and Working with Children’s Check
