About the role

The Village Manager is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the village are effectively managed and that the lifestyle and hospitality needs of all residents are met.

Some of the key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of key services including care, catering, cleaning, gardening, and maintenance
  • Assist in the process of the apartment sales/resale process
  • Supervision of Village maintenance requirements including liaising with external contractors
  • Monitoring village income and expenditure in line with the annual operating and capital works budgets
     

About you

Ideally, you have completed a tertiary qualification in Business Administration and have knowledge of the Retirement Living industry.  Hospitality experience would also be highly regarded, as would experience in a sales role.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff
  • A passion for providing outstanding customer service
  • Experience in recognising, prioritising and actioning emergency or critical response to issues as they arise
  • Well-developed organisational skills with demonstrated experience in meeting deadlines while juggling competing priorities
  • A high level of initiative and have a commonsense approach when solving problems or making decisions
