About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join our Specialist Disability Accommodation (SIL) home in Alphington.

This is a practice leadership position responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of a high-needs accommodation service supporting residents living with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI). You will lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support while fostering an environment that promotes independence, choice, and meaningful outcomes for residents.

Working closely with families, allied health professionals and key stakeholders, you will help ensure support plans, therapy recommendations and individual goals are embedded into everyday practice. You will play a key role in developing staff capability, driving service quality and supporting residents to maximise their skills, wellbeing and participation in daily life.

This role combines leadership, administration and direct support delivery and requires flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends.

About you

You are an experienced Team Leader in a complex disability support environment. Passionate about person-centred practice, you lead by example and are committed to helping people achieve their individual goals. You build strong, respectful relationships with residents, families, staff and allied health professionals, and take pride in creating a positive team culture that delivers high-quality support and meaningful outcomes

Skills Required

  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent qualification (minimum requirement)
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams within a disability accommodation or complex care setting
  • Strong understanding of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), active support principles and person-centred practice
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff to implement support plans, therapy recommendations and positive behaviour support strategies
  • Experience supporting residents with complex personal care, mealtime management and mobility requirements
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families, guardians, allied health professionals and external stakeholders
  • Ability to respond appropriately to incidents, manage risk and escalate concerns when required
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Sound knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework and relevant legislation
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR
